Sana's blog
Well, here it is. My official online journal of random crap that interests me. Smaller things, like dresses I like, tend to only end up on my twitter stream, though.
The anti-seme/uke stereotypes blog, take 2.

 (Copypasta from livejournal.)

1. First, and I cannot stress this enough, not every couple has to have a definite dominant and submissive. Height does not decide sexual preference, switches exist, etc. Honestly, if I wanted something like that, I'd save myself a lot of trouble and look up fetish porn. (and believe me, I have, and it's better than the vast majority of dojinshi.)

2. Okay, the feminization is just weird to me. Because...Oh Hai Thar heteronormativity, I thought the anime community was more open minded than that? Girls can top guys. Same goes for 'effeminate' guys and 'manry men'. Femininity does not equal weak, in either appearance or behaviour. You could pair up two masculine dudes without having to change their personalities to fit a stereotype. To quote a Poland/Liet fic I read once, "I may be the one in the skirt, but you're the one taking it up the ass." Cheesy line, but fits what I'm saying quite well.

3. Dear god, people, being submissive doesn't turn one into a silly little crybaby. Enough said. That whole 'personality =/= sexual preference" thing again, y'know?

4. It's an overused cliche that ranks on the same level as moe girls for "plot-destroying fanservice".

I guess my final note would be that it seems prevalent across anime in general, which I think comes down to it being *you don't say* Japanese, where Japan is still a pretty gender-segregated culture, *gasp* generalizations, but I'm not implying that I believe Japanese people are inherently sexist, just that their values in that regard cause a little Moral Dissonance to us. Hence all the weird hentai.

Opinions, guys?

Don't scare me like that!

 Hey, everyone.

I've been a lttle busy with various things -twitter, deviantart, writing, nationsverse, etc-

But I promise, yet again, that I have not abandoned this.

This is my personal blog/website, and serves as something of a hub for my various scattered-over-the-internet projects.

Darkest Mercy, and life stuff.

 Hey party people!

So, I turned 16 two days ago -delicious birthday cake was delicious.

I just finished reading Darkest Mercy by Melissa Marr. Need some time to gather my thoughts on that.

*SPOILERS*

I like the way the winter and dark court storylines rounded out. Summer...meh. I never liked Aislnn, but it was good seeing her come nto her own as regent, the ending with Seth was a bit =/. Chela was absolutley badass I would swear fealty to the hunt with her as Gabriela, no questions asked. A look at what's going on with the High and Shadow courts in faerie now the veil is sealed would have been nice.
